To celebrate Dahl's 100th birthday, I'm rereading all his works I own - it's been a lot of fun so far! I've yet to get to Danny Champion of the World, but I recall enjoying it previously.
I read some Roald Dahl as a kid, and a teacher read us some of his stuff too in one of the early grades as I recall. I remember Danny the Champion of the World and James and the Giant Peach but remember almost nothing about them. I should revisit his work.
That is great that you are working your way through Ronald Dahl. My son and I are currently reading The BFG. It is definately a different experience reading these books again as an adult! Have a great reading week! Amanda @ Mrs B's Book Reviews
I love rereading books I enjoyed as adult; it's quite a new experience. I have yet to get round to the BFG but looking forward to it as it was a favourite when younger. I hope you and your son are enjoying :-)
Working through Roald Dahl? Such fun to read his books, my fav was Danny Champion of the World - many moons ago.

ReplyDeleteIt's always interesting revisiting books from childhood - with your eyes more open to the world it's practically like a whole new reading experience!
DeleteLove Roald Dahl and so do my kids - enjoy!
ReplyDeleteMuch loved in our household also!
DeleteLove Dahl. His life was so interesting. I haven't read any of his adult books. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHis autobiographies are some of my favourite books from him. You should check out his adult books - some great stories to be found in there.
DeleteI love this project so much. I can't wait to see how many you make it through.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jennifer!
