Short and sweet :-) I've started doing a more in depth update mid week.
DeleteI have the "grandmother" book and hope to read it soon. Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying it, but I'm finding it to be slow going, which is why I've picked up another book.
DeleteI hope you have a great week!
That is new to me. It's a police thriller? I wouldn't have guessed from the cover without the blurb.
ReplyDeleteI know, right?! It's the first book in a Swedish detective series. I haven't really read much translated crime fiction before.
DeleteI haven't seen this one. Hope you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteThanks - I hope you enjoy your current read too. Have a great week!
DeleteThat looks good. I clicked over and see it's a Swedish police thriller- I haven't read one but I've heard good things about them.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's the first in a detective series by the authors. I've also not read any Swedish police fiction before either, but like you, I've heard good things about them too.
DeleteGreat photo! Lovet his post. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks - and to you!
DeleteYou have good things in store for you with this series. My favorite of the bunch is Edgar Award-winning "The Laughing Policeman", but "Roseanna" is also good.
ReplyDeleteOoo... I'm glad you hear it! I have the first three in the series currently, but am aiming to own the whole collection. I like the writing style so far!
DeleteIt's always a bad sign for me when I pick up a second book before finishing the one I'm currently reading! Hope My Grandmother picks up.
ReplyDeleteThat's usually the same for me too, Susie. In actual fact, I've been thinking of DNF'ing it for now and returning at another time. Decisions, decisions!
DeleteI haven't seen this book around before, thanks for introducing me! I hope you are enjoying reading this week and have a good one :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog earlier.

Thanks, Amanda, and you!
DeleteWhat a striking cover! I also tend to pick up a second book to read along a slower or denser one.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful week, Jade!
I love the monochrome of the cover. Hmm... I'm considering DNF'ing the slower read for now.
DeleteThanks! Have a great week, Lindsey!
I've been curious about exploring more Scandinavian mysteries, but I read a few of the Wallander novels, and they're just so bleak!
ReplyDeleteI'm quite enjoying this book so far.. There are more titles in the series. I don't know much about the Wallander novels, so will have to look in to those!
