Thanks - I'm only two stories in but enjoying so far.
Rachel Joyce is largely known for The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry; I haven't read it myself, however I have read Perfect, which is another book by the same author. I quite enjoy her writing style - a simplicity to it, flows nicely.
Haha - that whole cubby shelf is full of Ahern books, more behind, I own them all! I'd definitely recommend her books; I love the way in which she tells a story. A Place Called Here and also The Marble Collector are two really great titles of hers.
This looks like a nice collection. I'd like to find more anthologies or short story collections like this, especially at holiday times when I'm in the mood for something like that. I hope it's a great read! :)
This looks like a fun book. I hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteMy It's Monday! What Are You Reading? post for this week.
Thank you - happy reading!
DeleteHmmm...I don't read nearly enough short stories, though I really should, since I have such a short attention span!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Short stories are great for dipping in and out of, especially when you don't want to commit to a full on story.
DeleteI have never heard of this author before. Hope you enjoy!

DeleteHope its good. Obviously a Cecelia Ahern reader! I have to try her yet, if you have that many of hers then a good recommendation.

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
I love the cover! Have a great week, and happy reading!
DeleteI think this may be the only Rachel Joyce book I haven't read, I'll need to see if the library has a copy. Hope you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteThere were some short stories I really enjoyed within, and some not so much, but I think that's the way with most short story collections.
